Diabetes Management
Diabetes has become a worldwide epidemic, in all levels of society. It is a difficult illness to treat, and involves lifestyle changes, attention to diet, increased physical activity and often medication. There continue to be lots of new developments in approaches to diabetes management, and new innovative medications, tablets and injections, are available.
We emphasise increased physical activity and dietary measures as the foundation of diabetic management.
Dr Morris has an interest in diabetes, and has training with the Centre for Diabetes Education (C.D.E.) He is a registered C.D.E. Practitioner, and C.D.E. is increasingly used as the approach to diabetes management by many of the medical aids.
Several medical aids make use of a ‘managed care’ approach for the management of diabetes, through the Centre for Diabetes Education (CDE).
Dr Morris is on the panel of doctors able to provide care for CDE patients and is on the Discovery Premier Plus GP Network.
